To the recently bereaved by suicide
Dear Friend,
We understand the experience of shock, trauma, confusion, pain of loss, grief and turmoil. We are also aware of the physical, mental and emotional suffering that comes with anger, guilt, blame, stigma and isolation. All of this is a normal reaction and outcome to an event such as suicide which in turn leads to the endless questioning, whys?, what-ifs?, what could or should have happened.
We, having also lost a loved one to suicide, have found so much consolation and solace, essential help and support on our journey at FOSL.
We welcome you to attend our Friends of Suicide Loss support group meetings where you will find others like yourself who have experienced and understand suicide grief, where you can share your loss and sorrow in a safe, non-judgmental and comfortable environment, a place where empathy, compassion, encouragement and practical coping skills will be exchanged to help you regain your strength once again.
You are not alone at Friends of Suicide Loss support groups.
’’ There are no strangers here; only friends you haven’t yet met.’’
Yours Sincerely,
Friends of Suicide Loss
