Following 18 months work of preparation, planning, interviews and the gathering of information, the research is now complete for the first ever ‘cross-cultural’ study, in Ireland and Europe, on the effectiveness and role of Postvention ‘Peer-led’ support groups in the recovery process of the suicide bereaved.
The study was conducted by researchers from Trinity College Dublin and around the world with the results due for publication shortly.
The research is on-going within Europe, with this the first study now having been completed in Denmark and Ireland.
