Equilibrium
(By Annette Covey)
A place of equilibrium is what I strive to keep
Avoiding negativity I do not wish to weep
It isn’t over positive this strive for middle ground
A place of calm and peace the feelings that are found
I face up to reality; I’ll accept my neutral place
I need to feel acknowledgment around the things I face
The weighing of the scales, a balance point I reach
I might share something with you while aiming not to preach
We cannot always fix things but accept the broken bits
Forces pull, influences push, until we call it quits
A place of poise and balance, a unity in Faith
Stay with me equilibrium and help me to feel safe
